Although an image search for Flash Gordon shows a number of distinctive outfits/uniforms, the red tunic w/ the sunball shows up just enough to pretty much make the case. "St. George", though? I'm not savvy enough to catch that reference. Was that Flash's true given name?

HBHumanbellynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940115049819506689.post-58803004610639667382012-04-09T12:13:17.384-05:002012-04-09T12:13:17.384-05:00Yes, it was Flash Gordon. Also as he was about say his true name he disappeared in a "flash" of lightning (note caption- #3919 3-18-12). Other clues were that he was much like Prince Valiant in personality and he was able to stand against Val in a sword fight. Also his was a polo player (PV #3904) as was the original Flash Gordon back in 1934.DinoDonhttp://www.capmarjr.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940115049819506689.post-28690947617185981202012-04-07T21:40:58.380-05:002012-04-07T21:40:58.380-05:00That was Flash Gordon? It reminds me of the old episode of Defenders of the Earth when Flash, Phantom, Mandrake and the others were aided by Prince Valiant and the young Arn in a time traveling episode.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940115049819506689.post-12180770404804627012012-04-02T08:17:01.941-05:002012-04-02T08:17:01.941-05:00Indeed!Indeed!Michael J. No, not Foster, but good in its own way.

BTW, I have not seen any mention here regarding Flash Gordon's recent cameo appearance in PV. Surely that's worth a blog post of its own?Andreashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04253091214870531010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940115049819506689.post-43461791727503401142012-04-01T05:56:22.474-05:002012-04-01T05:56:22.474-05:00Not bad,but too far from Foster. Not bad,but too far from Foster.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
